Robin Thicke is unapologetic about how rapey ‘Blurred Lines’ is, meanwhile the dude who parodied it issues a public apology for one word.

And that is just one reason why I love Weird Al.

It’s great that he’s addressed this but are we really supposed to believe that NO ONE during the extremely lengthy processes of writing a song, recording it, mastering it and animating the music video wouldn’t have brought it up?

Excuse me but how the hell is spastic even remotely insulting?

So I just recently learned that in the UK calling someone spastic means the same thing as calling someone retarded, only much worse.
If it makes people in the UK feel any better, people in the US literally do not know this (like literally no one I have ever met and/or know). Here being spastic is usually meant to mean something along the lines of acting like a hyper-active child (like running around in circles yelling just because they feel like it please be quiet for just 2 minutes type of child). NOBODY here uses it as a slur.
Since Weird Al is a US musician and the US music industry is pretty non-international, yeah actually I think its entirely possible that none of the people who worked on this song actually knew that spastic was considered an awful slur in some parts of the world.
And I’m like 99.9999% sure that Weird Al is genuinely very sorry that he was accidentally offensive.

She watched him leave and glanced around his study briefly before setting out to find her rooms. The palace was large and difficult for her to navigate still, having been confined to her rooms for at least a month until Loki deemed it safe for her to come out. She finally found it…

She shivered as his magic changed her attire into a beautiful red ball gown. She smiled in thanks and threaded her arm through his and followed into the dining hall. She was in awe of the large room and how everything seemed to glitter and shine. She was also surprised at how many people were already sitting at the long tables, talking and drinking. As they walked towards the far side of the hall, many heads swiveled and watched her go by and she politely smiled back when she accidentally made eye contact.

She felt somewhat thankful that Sif, Fandral, Hogun, and Volstagg were also dining in the hall. Loki sat her next to Sif, who smiled warmly at her, before seating himself on her other side. Loki served himself and as soon as he took a bite, noise erupted from the people as they started to load their plates and dine. Tara ate quietly, listening to the others tell stories and chat, laughing along with them but not contributing to the conversation.

Part way through the meal, she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned and saw Hogun standing there. “I wanted to apologize for injuring you. It was careless of me and I won’t let it happen again if you allow me, us, to train you again,” he said just loud enough to be heard over the din. The other three warriors watched their exchange and she looked to each of them, seeing that they were sorry as well for letting her get hurt under their supervision. She placed her hand over Hogun’s.

"Thank you. I was healed quickly and I feel just fine…except my entire body is sore and I need a long bath to sort it out," she replied with a big smile which they all returned. "I would be more than happy to train with you again. I look forward to it." She patted his hand and he nodded before returning to his seat. She glanced at Loki, giving him a brief smile before taking a sip of her wine and continuing her meal.

I’ve worked all day today and my most critical customer was a kid that was like 10 or 12 asking questions he thought I couldn’t answer
